Qingdao Library
The predecessor of Qingdao University Library was the book collection four major university of which merge in QIngdao university. There are 3,370,000 volumes and items in the Library, to which more than 80000 volumes are added annually. The collections in the library cover the fields of science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, art and law. Especially, there are a lot of materials of medicine,science and engineering, information technology,finance and economics. They have paid a great attention to the collection of foreign language books and periodicals and 15 world famous periodicals have been collected by the library since the first issue till now. Besides, the Library also maintains plenty of documents including Technology Reports, Dissertations for Degrees, Conference Proceedings, Technology Standards, Patent Literatures, Audio-visual Materials and Microfilms. In recent years, they emphasize electronic resources and virtual resources, too. Now, over 14000 unique full-text electronic journal titles have been made available in the Library or online for users to access
They have a broad international relationship with more than fifty foreign libraries, schools and research institutes, through which they are keeping steady interchanges of materials among libraries.
